Ultra-Fine Wool – Torture for Sheep
Sheep used for ultra-fine wool are kept in barren sheds virtually their entire lives and denied the opportunity to do anything that is natural and important to them, such as grazing, playing with their families or basking in the sun.
In addition to enduring intensive confinement, these sheep are intentionally underfed so that they will grow finer fleece. No wonder, then, that sheep kept in such conditions suffer from mental illness. Video footage taken at ultra-fine wool facilities show thousands of sheep, many of whom pace constantly and spin in circles – classic signs of psychological distress in captive animals.
Never buy from companies that use ultra-fine wool, and help us prevent this cruel industry from expanding.
