The Cheesecake Shop Launches Not One, but TWO Vegan Cakes!
After a successful trial in select Queensland stores, iconic Australian bakery The Cheesecake Shop has added two vegan cake flavours– Vegan Chocolate and Vegan Strawberry Choc – to its menu nationwide.
The cakes have two layers and a jam and frosting middle filling, and they’re topped with a Belgian chocolate drip, popcorn, dried raspberries, and pistachios.
The chain has almost 200 shops across Australia, so this is a huge win for animals. Day-old calves are torn away from their grieving mothers and killed or used for dairy, and male chicks are gassed to death or ground up alive in the egg industry—but no one suffers for vegan desserts.
According to The Cheesecake Shop, the vegan cakes are available in the cabinet for walk-ins – but given Australia’s huge appetite for all things vegan, it’s best to order in advance.
