Who Are PETA’s Most Beautiful Vegan Celebrities of 2018?
The time has come for PETA to crown the Most Beautiful Vegan Celebrities of 2018, and this year’s titles are going to two celebrities who have used their fame to speak up for animals: DJ Tigerlily and Ben Brown.
This year was huge for musician Dara Hayes (aka “DJ Tigerlily”), who toured extensively around the globe, dropped the super-catchy single “Kick Boom” on the Universal Music Label, collaborated with adidas, and bared her soul for animals when she posed au naturel for PETA.
The DJ uses her popular blog and Instagram page to encourage others to try the compassionate lifestyle, sharing everything from vegan recipes to her reasons for boycotting the Melbourne Cup .
North Melbourne Kangaroos forward Ben Brown scored a whopping 61 goals in the 2018 season and was runner-up for the Coleman Medal – but it was his compassion for animals that netted him the PETA prize. Brown and his wife (and soon-to-be baby mama), Hester, turned heads on the red carpet at the awards ceremony for the Australian Football League’s prestigious Brownlow Medal by wearing all-vegan outfits: a wool-free suit for Ben – meaning no sheep were harmed– and a silk-free, bump-hugging gown for Hester.
Speaking on The Footy Show earlier this year, Brown proved that he’s performing at his peak on plants, saying:
Both Hayes and Brown faced tough competition for PETA’s award this year, as more and more Aussies are going vegan all the time. Past winners of the annual contest include Liam Hemsworth, Courtney Act, David Campbell, Morgan Mitchell, and Bridget Malcolm.
You Can Be Beautiful, Too!
True beauty comes from within – that’s why these celebrities are attractive inside and out. Find it within yourself to make the same compassionate decision never to eat animal-derived foods.
